Automated generation for all Versio.io configuration items and assets

Under the hood, Versio.io operates using the highly flexible JSON format, in which all instances and information are stored in a structured manner. The new reporting feature leverages this very data foundation, translating it into a clear and easily readable PDF format. It makes no difference whether the subject is a host, a network device, or a completely different, specific entity; the report is fully available for every instance represented within Versio.io.

The workflow is designed to be maximally user-friendly. Once requested via the Instance Viewer, the generated PDF document is not simply loaded in the browser; instead, it is sent directly to the email address of the requesting user. This saves time and integrates seamlessly into automated workflows.

The development of this feature was driven by two core customer needs: sustainable archiving and enterprise-wide communication. On the one hand, the data from Versio.io in the generated PDF format can be excellently transferred as a static snapshot into existing, revision-proof file storage systems or document management systems (DMS).
