We are looking for a dedicated Trainee Software Development (m/f/d) to join our
innovative, small team at Versio.io.
In this role, you will work in an exciting, international product and project environment.
Our trainee programme offers you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in various
core disciplines of modern software development. You will gain comprehensive insights
and have the chance to actively explore the fields of front-end development, back-end
development and AI/data engineering, enabling you to identify and develop your individual
strengths. If you're looking to start your career at the intersection of innovative

During your traineeship, you will rotate through our core departments and gradually
take on more responsibility:
- Front-end development -
Helping to design and implement user-friendly, modern web interfaces for our cloud
platform. You will learn how to present complex IT data in a visually appealing and
intuitive way.
- Back-end development -
Using our modern technological stack (e.g. Node.js, Linux, SQL) to develop scalable
and secure back-end services. You will help automate processes and integrate APIs.
- AI & data engineering -
Collaborating on the design and maintenance of our robust data pipelines. You will
gain initial experience in integrating AI models for structuring, classifying and
analysing large volumes of product data (e.g. vulnerability descriptions or release
data).
- Teamwork & agility -
Close, agile collaboration within our small, high-performing team. You will benefit
from intensive mentoring and play an active role in the continuous development of
our international product.
- Education -
Degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification or
practical experience.
- Technology stack -
Sound programming skills, ideally strong in Node.js, as well as confident handling
of structured data formats (XML, JSON).
- Databases & OS -
Very good knowledge of SQL and relational databases as well as confidence working
in a Linux environment (including shell scripting/Bash).
- Artificial intelligence -
Keen interest and, ideally, initial practical experience in the use of AI technologies
in the context of data processing.
- Mindset -
Analytical skills, a strong understanding of complex data structures and an independent,
solution-oriented approach to work.
- Communication -
Team player mentality for our innovative working environment and good written and
spoken English skills (for our international context).
