Technology overview

Versio.io provides a technology overview based on the asset & configuration item inventory, which lists all products, frameworks, libraries, hardware models etc. used. This comprehensive overview enables objective decisions to be made regarding planning and further development, minimising risks and costs.

  • Efficiency and productivity - By understanding the technologies used, companies can optimise processes and increase productivity.
  • Security - An overview of the technologies used helps to identify and close potential security gaps.
  • Cost control - Knowledge of the technologies used enables companies to monitor costs and avoid unnecessary expenditure.
  • Compliance - In many industries, there are regulations governing the use of certain technologies. Companies must comply with these regulations to avoid penalties.
  • Competitive advantage - Companies that utilise and understand their technology effectively can gain a competitive advantage over other companies.

Technology radar

Versio.io's technology radar enables you to define and document the visibility into the use of products and technologies in your enterprise as part of the enterprise architecture.

Using the high-quality inventory data available in Versio.io, we can show which products and technologies are in practical use already in the Technology Radar visualisation.

Furthermore, Versio.io integrates the architecture decisions from the Technology Radar into the inventory views, so that they are brought to life in the operational activities via it as well.

Service-level management

Service-level management

Service-level management (SLM) defines and monitors the quality of IT services provided. It is an ITIL process discipline whose goal is to bring the performance of IT services permanently in line with customer expectations.

Service-level agreements and service-level objectives are stored in Versio.io in the Asset & Configuration Inventory. This allows standard functionalities of the Versio.io platform, such as reporting or IT governance, to be available and the data to be used by customers via OneAPI.

Service-level management in Versio.io offers the following functionalities:

  • Definition of service-level agreements (SLA) to group service level objectives.
  • Definition and identification of service-level objectives (SLO) to determine service quality in terms of availability and performance (latency).
  • Visualisation of SLO status over time as well as their metrics (error budget) in a dashboard.
  • Accounting of penalty payments based on SLO definitions and SLAs.

Batch job process monitoring

Versio.io's batch job process monitoring brings you transparency and control-relevant metrics about each individual batch job execution, as well as an aggregated view of process variants and the master process.

The visualisation of the process sequence makes it ten times easier to understand than other representations.

The machine-processable batch job process data offers you the possibility of integration into your business and ITSM processes.

Delta topology analysis

Delta topology analysis

Versio.io's delta topology analysis allows you to compare topologies from different environments or over time.

This allows you to identify differences between complex facts with a high number of components, attributes and relationships in seconds and with a high degree of precision. The Delta Topology Index aggregates the difference into a single, easy-to-understand number.

Practical deployment scenarios:

  • Database schemas
  • Network configuration
  • Application architecture
  • Infrastructure landscape
