Microsoft Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that runs on Microsoft Windows Server. The main function of Active Directory is to enable administrators to manage permissions and control access to network resources.
The Microsoft Active Directory CMDB Importer inventories all object classes requested by the customer. All inventoried data is historized and topologized. Historicized means that all state changes are provided over the entire lifecycle of an instance. Topologized means that all relationships between instances are mapped in form.
Inventoried Microsoft Active Directory data can be analyzed and reported. Furthermore, changes can be verified according to customer-specific requirements to ensure compliance.
